An industry-wide compensation scheme is coming in 2026

The FCA has extended the deadline for motor finance firms to respond to discretionary commission complaints to 4 December 2025. It confirmed an industry-wide scheme expected in 2026, covering finance taken between April 2007 and November 2024 — with payouts estimated around £700 per agreement.
